I have to give pause each time someone new asks me that, simply due to one simple rule that I hold near and dear to my heart and to my trading account : Penny stocks are not long-term investments. I know when folks ask me that they are dreaming about nailing a scrappy startup company’s stock at $1 a share and holding it for five years, then selling their shares for $500 each and making a million dollars or something silly like that.

You hear many investing pros lauding the values of diversification for your investment portfolio. The idea of diversification is that it constrains your general risk from overexposure to one actual type of investment. The other side of diversification is to supply you with less volatility. Stable blue chip companies are patently less uncertain than emerging growth corporations. I would like to proffer that you widen the diversity of your stock trading portfolio by participating in penny stock investing.

Options are a terrific way to shield profits and hedge. Also , they are an excellent way to increase profits, sometimes substantially. Though, the key to doing all this is understanding precisely how one can use them effectively.
